Catnip Inn - Cat Boarding

Catnip Inn is designed for feline guests only. We strive to provide a “home away from home” experience and allow our guest to roam free throughout our home. Due to our style of boarding we can only accommodate up to five guests at a time to ensure a stress free and clean environment. This also ensures your kitty gets lots of love and attention. Our guest will never be confined to a small kennel or cage.

 Throughout Catnip Inn you will find adequate amounts of cat trees, ledges and toys. We have 2000+ square feet of living space that we will share with your feline(s). If your kitty is the shy type..or sneaky..  we have placed safe and comfortable “hiding pods” throughout our home to accommodate any personality.

House Calls

Being a cat owner I understand the complex personalities some kitties may have. That is why I also offer in house pet check-ins as well. The majority of my visit will be spent one on one with your pet(s). This service is not inclusive of only cats but also members of the rodent, fish and bird family. Sorry, I am unable to accommodate dogs at this time but hope to do so in the future. 

Aside from general pet duties I will do a thorough walk around of your home and yard and provide a detailed log for each visit for insurance purposes if you so wish.

Prices 

Cat Boarding:

$15 per day 

$90 per week         

$345 per month                            

We offer multiple cat discounts, with the first guest being full price and the second/third guests being $10 each. Multiple guests must be from the same household.

This is an “all-inclusive” price. Our guests will have access to myself and the full house, litter, treats, minor grooming, medication administration and of course lots of playtime. Food is not included in this price and must be provided by the owner.

House Calls:

$25 per 30 minute visit

$45 per 60 minute visit

I prefer to keep things simple. That is why I offer an “all-inclusive service”; litter changes, food and treats, minor grooming, medication and of course lots of playtime. I will do a general walk around of the house and yard, gather mail, and take out bins to the curb. However duties above that will have an extra charge. Pricing includes 1 to 2 pets and travel time within a 10km radius from the Northshore Safeway. Beyond the radius my time and kms will be extra. Each additional pet will be $10 depending on the type of animal.  

Meet the Owner

Chelsea Fremlin grew up on the east coast of Canada in a small rural town. As far back as she can remember, she has been an animal enthusiast. Some of her earliest memories were playing with the family kittens, dogs and collecting eggs from her family’s chicken coop. Chelsea has been pet owner to several different animals from pet mice to her beloved dog Sparky.

For the past eight years Chelsea's career took her on the road quite often while living in Alberta. She went through great lengths to ensure her own pets were properly cared for and quite often housed her own cats in a similar style “cat hotel”. There they were able to roam free and socialize with the humans and other feline guests.

Recently having relocated to Kamloops and with her career beginning to slow down as she starts her own family, Chelsea was inspired to open her own cat hotel. Out of this was born the Catnip Inn. Chelsea’s hope is to create a safe, affordable home away from home for your cats where they are sure to be loved and cared for during your time away.
